About Me
I was born on the Mediterranean island of Malta in 1961. Like all islanders around the globe, as a child, I often stood at the edge of the shore, looking out across the vast blue sea, wondering what lies beyond the horizon.

Living in a pre-internet era, our vision of the world came from books and magazines, TV and movies, and the anecdotes, often grossly exaggerated, of returning migrants. Geography lessons at school introduced our young minds to some alien concepts: rivers, lakes, mountains, deserts, steppes, savannas, and waterfalls - none of which existed on our tiny island.

Then came my first trip abroad. Exciting, memorable, quickly followed by a second, a third, a tenth, a hundredth... And yet, the magic still remains. The wonder of discovery never dwindles. Looking forward to the next trip as if it were the first.
